SECTION 3.0 - freq, frep
Start by submitting a Flight Request (FREQ) for your requested bid. The FREQ lists the flights you would like to take, up to a maximum of ten. Each FREQ must start and end at your assigned hub. Once the FREQ has been approved by your Hub Manager, it will be posted in your pilot profile under "Current Bid". You will then fly each flight in the FREQ in order and submit a Flight Report (FREP). A FREP should be submitted at the completion of each flight. Your Hub Manager will review each FREP submitted and, if approved, will mark it as "Completed". When all flights in your approved FREQ have been completed and approved, your Hub Manager will change the "Current Bid" section of your pilots profile to read "Awaiting Bid" and you may submit a new FREQ.
section 4.0 - Absence, retirement, resignation
7.1 - Leave of Absence
If it is necessary for you to be away for an extended period of time, you may take up to 4 months Leave of Absence. Please let your Hub Manager know how long you will be gone. After you receive confirmation from your Hub Manager, you will remain on the Pilot Roster. However, you may not post in the forums, submit a checkride for promotion, or participate in SBA contests or GFS until you return to active duty. Also, once on SBA, if you are found to be flying regular flights with another virtual airline, you will be removed from the roster. We don't believe it is too much to ask that if you are flying for another VA, that you fly periodically for SBA.
7.2 - Resignation
Pilots wishing to resign from SBA should contact their Hub Managers. Pilots who resign from SBA will be unable to reapply to SBA for a period of 6 months.
NOTE: Posting of inflammatory or negative resignation messages in the public forums is prohibited. However, it's OK to post your intent to retire and say good bye to your fellow pilots. Pilots who post inflammatory or negative resignation messages in the public forums will be immediately terminated and their post will be deleted. A member who is terminated for posting inflammatory or negative resignation intentions in the public forums will not be eligible to reapply to SBA.
Please Note: It is the pilot's responsibility to notify their hub manager of a change in email address and update their profile accordingly in order to receive hub manager messages.
